《戲箱》舞台是一個360度旋轉的超大戲箱，兩層樓高，可推可關可揭幕可掀蓋。神奇的戲箱，打造一個玩花筒般的劇場效果：既是演員的家，是台灣的彩樓，是法國的戲台，是光影的屏風，更是多媒體的超大螢幕! 演員在戲箱外展開戲夢人生，進了戲箱全部縮小比例成了法國戲偶與台灣掌中偶，虛實交錯的真實世界與偶戲小天地，交織出打破語言藩籬的人性幽默與真切情感，《戲箱》保留台法傳統偶戲藝術技巧，結合現場樂師與演員，轉出一段惺惺相惜的同行情誼與一個幸福的愛情故事。 有25年歷史的Zonzons偶劇團，是里昂市的市立劇團，輕鬆自然的風格總是吸引滿座觀眾享受看戲的樂趣。 而在台北大稻埕經營偶戲館有聲有色的台原偶戲團，維護傳統和發揚創新一項不遺餘力，它在兩年前開始發想《戲箱》的演出計畫，終於今年四月跨海和Zonzons偶劇團實地合作，藉著一段跨越語言、國籍的愛情故事，展開出藝文化激盪的創意。

《The Box》(La Bo i te ) was developed by the Taiyuan Puppet Theatre Company together with the Compagnie des Zonzons over a period of two years. The main focus of the play is a huge two-storey box, this box is a piece of installation art that can turn and provides both a stage for avtors and puppteers, as well as a projection and shadow performance screen. The Box in a magical wonderland, where two completely different traditions from East and West meet and act out a love story between two people and two puppets. This fascinating visual spectacle is accompanied by live musicians from Taiwan and France performing on western and Asian instruments.
The show was first performed in Lyon, France, in April, with a great critical acclaim.
